STORIES / DISPLAY GUIDE
One character, three kinds of keepsakes
Build a shelf display around one character, then see how the same approach works with Pikachu and Eevee pieces in different formats.
Choose one character and one anchor
Start with three pieces you already have. In the Pikachu arrangement above, the plush is the tallest and softest shape, the card adds a bright patch of blue, and the pin gives you a small detail to discover up close. Put the plush down first and leave a space on one side for the card.
If your pieces show different poses or forms, decide what ties them together. A repeated color can connect them across the shelf. You can also group related poses and put a small note beside the group so the connection is easy to see.
Give the card and pin their own space
Stand the sleeved card on a stable support. Shift the support sideways until the plush no longer covers the edge of the artwork. If the sleeve reflects a window or lamp, turn the card slightly and check it again from your usual viewing spot.
Fasten the pin to a small fabric board and set it lower and closer to the front. Give the pin and its backing enough room to lift them out without brushing the plush or tipping the card.
Check the view from two distances
From across the room, look for the outline of each piece. Then come close enough to read the card and see the pin’s face. If the pin disappears against the card, move it to the open side or slide a plain backing behind it. Change one thing at a time so you can see what helped.
Try the same layout with Eevee
Start with the Eevee plush, then stand a notebook behind it so the smaller character designs remain visible. Set the autumn figure toward the front, where the mushrooms and the base can be seen from the side.
Record the display before you rotate it
Take one straight-on photo, then give each piece its own row in the character and form index. Use a shared location such as Shelf A while they’re together. When the card returns to its binder, update only its row, for example to Blue binder, page 4.
Next time you change the arrangement, try swapping one piece first. A different card illustration can change the colors of the whole shelf while the plush and pin keep the character easy to recognize.
